Giving Hope: A Child’s Journey Through a Pandemic

Life was hectic, fun, and extraordinarily normal – that is, until a single moment turned everything upside down. School and events were shut down, and people were no longer able to see each other in person. While dealing with the stay-at-home order during the pandemic, a myriad of emotions came to the forefront. This story is related through a series of diary entries that exemplify all of these different emotions. Starting with anxiety and confusion, we see over the course of the story how one child figured out ways to spread hope, even in the midst of so much hopelessness.
